To mark Day 1 of the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, the Local Government Unit of Maco, through the Gender and Development Resource and Coordinating Office, officially commenced the advocacy with the installation and display of Anti-VAW campaign banners in key and highly visible areas across the municipality.
Campaign banners were prominently placed at the GAD & Women’s Building, as well as in significant landmarks across the Shorelines, Easternlines, and Masaralines barangays. This coordinated effort aims to raise awareness among all Macowenyos, reinforcing the message of unity and collective responsibility in ending all forms of violence against women.
As the Municipality of Maco moves forward with its 18-day advocacy, LGU Maco calls on the entire community to remain vigilant, informed, and engaged. Together, we uphold a shared vision of a Maco where every woman and girl lives in safety, dignity, and empowerment.
A united Maco is a VAW-free Maco.
