The Municipality of Maco proudly makes history as the First LGU in Davao de Oro to establish a Gender and Development (GAD) Office.

This milestone was made possible through the strong leadership of Mayor Arthur Carlos Voltaire R. Rimando, the unwavering support of Vice Mayor Dr. Alvera Veronica R. Rimando, MD, FPSMS, RMT, and the dedication of Ms. Jeanette S. Alapag, EnP, MPA – Municipal GAD Resource and Coordinating Office (MGADRCO) Officer.

With this pioneering achievement, Maco sets the standard for gender-responsive governance in the province and continues to work towards its next goal — to become a Local Learning Hub for Gender and Development in the Philippines.
