In solidarity with the nationwide advocacy to eliminate all forms of violence against women, the Local Government Unit of Maco, through the GAD Resource and Coordinating Office, officially launches its Array of Activities for the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, running from November 25 to December 12, 2025.
This year’s activities highlight a coordinated and community-centered approach to strengthening awareness, enhancing capacity, and promoting a safe and gender-fair environment for all MacoWINyos. From barangay orientations and learning sessions to mental health discussions, HIV awareness, and celebrations of women’s empowerment, each initiative reinforces the municipality’s firm commitment to uphold the rights, dignity, and protection of women and girls.
Through inter-agency partnerships, knowledge-sharing platforms, and sustained advocacy efforts, LGU Maco continues to invest in programs that empower communities and strengthen local mechanisms against gender-based violence.
As we move forward with this 18-day observance, we encourage everyone to participate, engage, and stand with us in fostering a VAW-free community.
Together, let us build a safer, more inclusive, and gender-responsive Municipality.
Together, we work for a VAW-free Philippines.
